Category 8A has been inspired by great information, advice and tidbits gleaned throughout the web. I have been greatly impressed by blogs written by John Heald, johnhealdsblog.com and Anita Dunham-Potter http://www.expertcruiser.com and the very popular cruisecritic.com forum, managed by Laura.
Unlike these well seasoned cruisers and service providers, I have only been on one cruise. I am now hooked and have found it to be the most therapeutic vacation I ever had. I also felt upon my debarkation, that my money was very well spent. My wife and I have booked cruise number two and three for early 2010. In fact we are planning a 2011 cruise for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.
My aim with Category 8A, is to provide interesting and helpful blogs for the novice cruiser and those that are old ship hands!
The title, comes from Carnival’s stateroom categories. I liked the sound of it and have to admit that I am a Carnival fan. Please do not let this be a deterrent to fans of other cruise lines – all comments and questions are welcome.
In time, I will be happy to publish guest posts as the blog becomes more established.
